GreshamQuant (GQ) is a small, entrepreneurial and collegial team, focused on high performance. GQ is responsible for the multi-award-winning systematic commodity strategy ‘ACAR’, now managing around $1.3bio, founded in 2016. Alongside this we have a newer systematic financial instruments product ‘SAFI’, trading a variety of instruments. The execution trader will be the third member of the GQ trading team and will work closely with the GQ Research team.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Executing orders generated by SAFI’s systematic trading model on a broad range of instruments in both developed and emerging markets, such as interest rate swaps, credit default swaps, cash bonds (nominal and inflation linked) & bond futures, cross currency swaps & fx futures, options
Monitoring the existing positions in the portfolio and the key risk metrics
Analyzing all aspects of the execution including transaction costs analysis for all instruments traded to help improve execution and reduce costs
Reviewing and challenging data (both inputs and outputs) to ensure data accuracy
Ensuring that trading is done in line with the best execution requirements and policies
Gathering market color from dealers and relaying it to the Research team
Providing execution support to GQ’s flagship strategy, Alternative Commodity Absolute Return (ACAR), trading commodity futures markets globally

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience executing fixed income instruments (both rates and credits) such as interest rate swaps, credit default swaps, cash bonds (nominal and inflation linked) & bond futures, cross currency swaps & fx futures in either buy-side or sell-side institution
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of experience executing a broad range of fixed income instruments (both rates and credit) such as interest rate swaps, credit default swaps, cash bonds (nominal and inflation linked) & bond futures, cross currency swaps & fx futures in either buy-side or sell-side institution
Deep knowledge of best execution practices and good relationships with a dealers in the fixed income space
Solid understanding of the key risk metrics used in the fixed income space (both interest rates and credit)
High level of accuracy and attention to details
Experience in both developed and emerging markets
Software experience preferred: Charles River Development OMS, Tradeweb, Bloomberg (EMSX/BSEF)
Exposure to commodity futures
SQL and python experience

Base Pay Range: $102,000/yr. - $170,000/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
