TIAA Legal Analyst in New York, New York

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Performing tasks and coordinating with outside counsel.

  • Preparing legal documents and conducting legal meetings.

  • Investigating and analyzing claims and legal issues.

  • Generating required reports from department databases.

This position is open across the U.S. with preferred location in New York.

This role supports work of attorneys in the Global Employment & Benefits Law (GEBL) group which provides legal services related to workforce issues, including advice and counsel and managing regulatory and litigation matters.

  • Participates on projects and initiatives, primarily in support of Human Resources and Law & Policy; Assigned work on an end to end project basis.

  • Performs monitoring, review and evaluation of ongoing operational excellence efforts of the GEBL group. May monitor and analyze legislative/regulatory developments impacting the company’s workforce.


Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience working with employment law issues in a legal, human resources or compliance role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience working on employment law matters and related human resources and compliance matters in financial services

  • Knowledge of financial services, its regulatory environment and compensation structures preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Human Resources or JD

  • Strong research and report-generating skills.

Minimum Pay: $37.31
