TIAA Sr Associate Actuary in New York, New York

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Sr Associate Actuary

Provides technical analyses and support for the actuarial function or department.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Gathering and analyzing relevant data from a variety of sources using multiple actuarial tools and techniques.

  • Preparing, distributing and helping interpret actuarial or financial reports for internal and external use.

  • Participating in projects involving product development, pricing, reserving and reinsurance issues.

  • Assisting in implementing policies and practices for the design and pricing of insurance or financial products.

Qualifications

  • 3 Years Required; 5 Years Preferred

  • University (Degree), Preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work

Required:

  • 3 Years Actuarial Data Experience utilizing Excel and VBA

Preferred:

  • 5 Years Actuarial Data Experience utilizing Excel and VBA

  • Deep knowledge of defined benefit retirement plans, including performance of actuarial valuations of such plans.

Potential Salary: $100,500.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
