TIAA Tuition Financing Field Consultant in OAKLAND, California
As a part of TIAA’s Retail & Institutional Financial Services business, TIAA Bank, a division of TIAA, FSB, provides full-service, nationwide banking and lending services to consumer, commercial and institutional clients through a variety of channels, including online, its Florida-based financial centers and at other business offices throughout the country.
The California Tuition Financing, Inc. (TFI) Field Consultant represents TIAA and TFI and is accountable for asset growth, asset retention, and providing counseling for all 529 account owners, prospects, beneficiaries and their legal and financial representatives in the State-sponsored California 529 program, ScholarShare College Savings Plan, which TFI manages on behalf of the ScholarShare Investment Board.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Responsible forincreasing assets, initiating new business through rollovers and transfers fromother 529 plan programs, retaining assets through individual communication,group presentations, community events and direct marketing projects, anddocumenting all activities in SalesForce.
Interact withparticipants and prospects in-person, by telephone, by internet/e-mail, viaworkshops and seminars, and follow-up on qualified leads either by phone or inperson to convert to the relevant state 529 Plans.
The Tuition FinancingField Consultant will conduct call campaigns or host seminars/events totargeted high value account owners with the aim of opening accounts andincreasing average account balances.
Build relationshipsand partner directly with HR, Payroll, Benefits contacts and decision-makers,as well as executive ‘buyers.’ to deliver our 529.
Conduct both on-siteand web-based seminars and be comfortable presenting at Employer, Professionaland Parent events, as well as participating in community-based events togenerate leads and support awareness-based marketing initiatives in support ofState partner initiatives.
Develop and maintainrelationships with ScholarShare Account Owners, TIAA retirement planparticipants, individuals, prospects, beneficiaries, and their legal andfinancial representatives. The role does require relationship management skillsand ability to partner across TIAA with business partners in IndividualAdvisory Services and the Financial Consulting Group to access and servicetheir clients.
This is a clientfacing role and the TFI Field Consultant can expect travel up to 50% andinvolves interaction with key plan sponsors (Treasurer, Executive Director,Board Members, etc.
2+years of sales experience
NASDSeries 6 and 63 registrations
1+years of experience in the financial services industry
Willingnessto travel throughout the State of California. Expect Travel up to 50%(Expenses fully reimbursed.)
Desired Qualifications :
Experience balancing leads, field activities,customer follow-ups and administrative tasks.
