Associate - I, Leverage Finance - Nuveen Global Investment Operations
The successful candidate will be an experienced, energetic, and contributing member of a highly driven group of professionals focused on settlements, Loan and CLO Operations. This person will work as a part of a dynamic team in a rapidly growing Leveraged Loan and CLO trading environment. The individual is expected to possess strong problem solving and analytical skills, as well as a thorough understanding of leveraged loan and CLO operations
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Complete various loan administration tasks, including trade processing, loan reconciliations, and trade settlement.
Assist Trustees, Loan Administrators, Legal, Tax, and Compliance with regards to trade confirmations, allocations, KYC documentation, settlements, metrics, and industry initiatives.
Communicate effectively with traders/business partners at all levels and build strong working relationships
Support the settlement process of loan syndications, secondary loan trades, CLOs, and restructures, including funding and documentation matters.
Research and respond to ad-hoc inquiries on discrepancies – position breaks, price
Ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements
Reconciliation in BBG Aim for Bank loans & Leverage Loans.
Work directly with IT or vendors to resolve any technical issues
Ensure all process and audit trail documentation is always up to date
Coordinate preventive and corrective actions with appropriate teams
Train and coach peer team members
Perform yearly SOP review and process documents.
Conduct process enhancement forums within team.
Educational Requirements
- University (Degree) Preferred

Leverage Loan/CLO, Income Processing , Rollover, Roll back, Loan Restructure
Investment Banking and/or Asset Management industry experience in an off shored operations environment
Experience in one or more of the following operational processes: Trade and transaction processing
Knowledge of the Financial Services
Knowledge of bank loan market and Load Trade Life Cycle
Experience, Skills and Abilities:
Required Skills
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with an ability to understand complex workflows
Good understanding of operational risks and controls
Team player, detail oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize effectively
Self-starter with a high level of energy
Proficient utilization of Microsoft Excel and other MS OFFICE products
Very good communication skills, written and verbal Team player
Prioritization skills
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to identify and escalate process/delivery risks
Preferred Skills:
Experience with, S&P Notice Manager, Trade Processing Systems: (Bloomberg AIM, Clear Par, Wall Street Office Admin & Web)
