Nuveen Investments Associate - Java + Python + AWS in Pune, India

Specialist - Full Stack Development - IN

Full Stack Development are involved in full stack development and implement end-to-end components of custom applications. Their job involves designing and developing the UI, business logic, data & integration layer along with testing and maintenance of these layers.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • They are adept in the use of tools and technologies across tiers, and are proficient in working with systems infrastructure, creating, querying & manipulating databases, APIs and integration, Front-end code (HTML/CSS, bootstrap, React JS, Angular JS) and web stack back-end technologies (PHP, Python, Java, ruby on rails etc.).

  • They have a sound understanding of CI/CD processes, agile development.

  • They possess deep understanding of programming fundamentals and can learn new frameworks, languages and tools as required on projects.

Job Description

  • Build a state-of-the art Analytics Platform for CLO Business. This platform will encompass Compliance, Portfolio Optimization, Hypo Trading, Sensitivity Analysis features.

  • Hands-on Full Stack Developer who can contribute to project analysis, requirements gathering, architecture and design and development and automation testing.

  • Manage a small team of developers, BAs and testers – provide technical guidance, code reviews, career management and mentorship.

  • Strong ability to analyze functional needs that drive the analysis and technical design of quality technical solutions.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates that meet SDLC standards.

  • Designs the development and implementation of the overall architecture, and helps define "blueprint" for technical architecture to support mission needs.

  • Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies; Provides mentoring and training to more junior staff.

  • Create and maintain optimal data architecture

  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements

  • Delivers solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, and applications across the enterprise.

  • Communicates the design of the technical architecture clearly to other leaders within the organization.

Qualification / Skillsets ( React, Java, Python , AWS – EKS, ECS, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudFront, API Gateway etc.)

  • 5+ years of experience of IT platform development in a technical and analytical role

  • Required Programming Skills: React, Python, Java, caching technology (ex: Redis), DBs (Mongo, RDBMS)

  • Expertise in Cloud Technologies: AWS Preferred but other cloud platforms is ok. Experience with EKS, S3, Lambda, Cloudfront.

  • Experience in Unit testing.

  • Understanding of Terraform scripts and CI/CD process.

  • Desirable to have worked on following tools: Eventbridge, AppFlow,AirFlow(MWAA),Quicksight.

  • Desired domain skills – Fixed Income Trading / Research / Quant.

  • Good Communication Skills
