Senior Specialist - UX Design - IN

The Senior Associate is a pivotal role responsible for providing creative leadership and strategic direction within the design team. With a focus on visual aesthetics, user experience, and brand coherence, this position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, overseeing design projects, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, innovative solutions.

The Senior Associate plays a key role in mentoring and guiding design professionals, contributing to the development of design knowledge, and aligning creative efforts with organizational goals. Strong communication skills, a deep understanding of design principles, and a proven ability to inspire and elevate design teams are integral aspects of this leadership role.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead & Deliver end user experiences through exceptional craft design and execution on end-to-end journey’s, collaborating and partnering with design, research, product management and development to support and advocate for modern best practices for end-to-end experience design and delivery, such as design research, journey mapping, personas, storyboards, concept designs, prototyping and final production designs for our end user experiences.

  • Help in shaping the overall UX strategy, aligning it with business objectives and user needs.

  • Support design team and embrace design awareness and implementation of modern design methods and best practices to deliver the highest quality experiences.

  • Ensure that the end-to-end experience journey designs meet the needs of the end user and inform and align with client & business challenges/goals.

  • Collaborate and support your journey design team to deliver and elevate the end user experiences.

  • Partner & Collaborate with Research, Brand Marketing, Data & Analytics, Technology, Digital and Product Lines of Business to define and execute our end user experiences at the highest possible quality for your journey team, delivering the design and execution of the end user experiences to maximise the end user’s engagement and loyalty across your journey teams digital channels.

  • Support and collaborate with a team of designers and design leads. You will collaborate with the digital product and technology organisations to support the end-to-end vision and strategic roadmap, producing validated design concepts and stories that establish a best-in-class experience for our end users.

  • You will collaborate with and support the team, around our experience strategy goals.

  • Play a supportive role in facilitating workshops to learn best practices and deliver successful outcomes.

  • Lead and mentor a team of UX designers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

  • Provide thought leadership on UX trends, advocating for a user-centered design approach.

Functional Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives.

  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.

  • Define the product vision and create detailed product roadmaps.

Product Development and Lifecycle Management:

  • Oversee the entire product development lifecycle from ideation to launch.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to deliver high-quality products.

  • Prioritize product features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on market needs and customer feedback.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing product management team.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Set clear goals and expectations,and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations.

Customer and Market Focus:

  • Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, pain points, and market dynamics.

  • Ensure customer feedback is integrated into product planning and development processes.

  • Monitor and analyze product performance and customer satisfaction, making adjustments as needed.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for product-related matters with executive leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Communicate product strategy, progress, and results to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Balance competing priorities and interests to make informed, strategic decisions.

People Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers, fostering a high-performance culture.

  • Recruit, hire, and onboard top talent to build a robust product management team.

Financial/Budget Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the product budget, including resource allocation and cost control.

  • Monitor product profitability and return on investment (ROI), making adjustments as necessary.

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and revenue streams

Job Requirements and Qualifications

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

  • At least 7 years in a senior leadership role, overseeing large product portfolios and managing product teams.
