Nuveen Investments Senior Specialist, Transition in Pune, India
Associate - II, Project Management, Nuveen Ops
The role is with Nuveen Global Investment Operations (NGIO) in the Project and Process Management Team. NGIO provides operational support for investment activities across Nuveen and its affiliates. The projects underway vary but include systems upgrades, consolidation of platforms, and enhancements to current platforms. Experience in asset management, while not essential, is highly preferred, with particular emphasis on middle and back-office support such as settlements and reporting.
The specifications below provide a broad overview of the qualifications necessary for success in this role. The most essential qualifications are experience in requirements gathering and documentation, thorough testing skills, strong communication skills, and strong analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Strong business and systems analysis skills: ability to document current system flows and business process flows; analytical skills to determine how end-to-end processes, capabilities, and priorities are linked
Experience with requirements gathering, analysis and documentation in waterfall and agile environments
Strong problem solving skills
Identify and socialize issues and risks and associated mitigation plans, in all project phases
User Acceptance Test management, including the following responsibilities: create test scripts with timelines for execution, manage daily test execution and contingency planning as needed, gather metrics to provide status reporting for test assignments
Review project requirements to ensure completeness of the user acceptance test and that the test execution fully validates the functional changes defined
Ensure all UAT defects are logged and follow through on disposition until satisfactorily closed
Ensure UAT test environment requirements are communicated and in place prior to testing
Collaborate with Nuveen Operations SME’s, BA’s and Nuveen Tech Development team frequently for requirements clarification.
Notify appropriate Functional Lead about progress of reported issues
Responsible for management of UAT development and execution with a focus on strategic testing processes and procedures to enable testing activities and ensure that company standards and specifications are met.
The duties and responsibilities include multi-channel applications, test management, communication and test reporting, test planning, defect and data management.
The associate will collaborate with counterparts in other Nuveen ops/business units and in each technical area to ensure effective end to end testing is done for all of the products.
The associate will perform some or all of the following types of testing: user acceptance, functional, regression, and usability.
This includes the responsibility for ensuring the testing strategy and process is in alignment with industry best practices, staying abreast of all pertinent testing standards and communicates articulately this direction to senior business leadership, engineers and others in the organization so they can drive and support the efforts.
Document project progress and activities in systems such as in JIRA and/or Confluence
The Senior Business Analyst will guide and mentor the Junior Business Analyst
Oversight of/Support for one or multiple projects, managing issues and risks as required, aligned to the implementation of the Future State Operating Model, business architecture and conversion plan
