Founded in 1994, Symphony Asset Management is a diversified investment manager headquartered in San Francisco, California. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Research and provide investment recommendations in the biotechnology and pharmaceuticals sectors across all asset classes, including convertibles, bank loans, high yield, and equities, both on the long and short side.
Render fundamental analysis and forecasting of companies within coverage universe
Identify and price investment risk ahead of catalysts
Actively dialogue and develop relationships with both the sell-side and buy-side analysts
Work as a generalist for convertibles portfolio manager and trader
2-5 years of experience as a biotechnology/pharmaceuticals research analyst or investment banking analysts at a major investment bank
Some leveraged credit or convertible bond experience highly preferred
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
Strong communication and writing skills; ability to explain complex situations, companies, products clearly and succinctly
Self-starter who is detail-oriented and can multi-task effectively
Good interpersonal skills who values teamwork and can get along well with others
