The Lead CRD/Application Developer is a critical role in the Global Investments technology organization, supporting the Nuveen front office. This highly visible role will play a key position in the order management system consolidation and migration efforts across several trading desks and asset classes. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, users, and IT to define and implement business workflows as part of the team implementing and consolidating OMS systems across Nuveen.
Nuveen is looking for a lead developer with strong Charles River IMS and extensive asset management experience. The individual needs to be a highly motivated self-starter with strong sense of professional pride and individual accountability.

Nuveen is looking for the right candidate to provide expertise on best-practices within the Charles River environment, serve as a go-to resource for our business partners, and mentor junior staff on the team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables using AGILE methodologies
Develops high-quality, fully tested solutions that meet business needs
Serve as a development leader on Charles River IMS multi-asset trading platform interfaces
Communicate development status in a timely manner, including metric reporting
Create appropriate technical documentation of developed solutions for operational support
Collaborate with IT and business partners to design, develop, test and troubleshoot end to end technical solutions
Perform tasks of high complexity to modify processes, plans, and designs as needed
Complete testing in accordance with company standards and as defined in approved testing plans – this includes quality assurance and performance testing
Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively at all organizational levels with written and verbal communication skills
Assists less senior developers in following SDLC/Agile and change management processes
Interacts with other IT teams as required to leverage enterprise services
Participate in paired programming and code review sessions
Ability to participate in requirements review, with business partners and IT colleagues, to ensure full understanding and ask clarifying questions
Ability to provide feedback and technical guidance for proposed solutions
Focus on deploying operationally supportable solutions that require minimal on-going maintenance
Analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
Work in an environment supporting legacy solutions, while designing, developing, and deploying target-state technologies
BS or BA Degree in Computer Science or engineering required
5+ years of asset management development experience, with specific experience in order management systems and equity/fixed income trading
Experience implementing Charles River Developer Investment Management System – with a preference for someone who has worked on CRIMS as a specialist and has worked on a hosted implementation
Experience developing software using one or more of the following:
Microsoft (C#.Net, WPF, WCF, .Net Core)
DevOps Pipeline Automation (Electric Flow, Terraform)
Batch and Scripting Languages and Tools (Autosys / PowerShell / python / Unix shell)
SQL Server / Oracle / Amazon Aurora / RDS
Experience troubleshooting and maintaining complex SQL
Experience with Agile and SDLC development methodologies
Knowledge of equity and fixed income products and business workflows
Thorough understanding of front office (trading, portfolio management, and compliance) applications, with ability to design high-performing solutions
Possess analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
