Labs and Experiments, Experiment Lead

The Corporate Lab and Experimentation Experiment Lead leads multidisciplinary teams through the end-to-end process of running business experiments on prioritized customer problems and hypotheses. As a subject matter expert in experimentation methodologies, this leader oversees definition and execution of multi-channel experiments in production environments, including customer journeys and digital touchpoints. This visible role informs executive business decisions with evidence and contributes to promoting a test and learn culture across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Partners with cross-disciplinary teams (product, research, design, analytics, IT, and business) and guides them through the process of designing, building, running, analyzing, and reporting on rigorous business experiments.

  • Manages multiple experiments through the experiment lifecycle, simultaneously.

  • Authors and facilitates consistent high-quality experiment deliverables, documenting design, and technical specifications

  • Coordinates technology partnerships and activities that enable experiment designs, including work with Agile ceremonies, engineering teams, IT architecture, and A/B testing platforms.

  • Builds and drives workplans and sprints and shares work in progress using agile cadences.

  • Develops and packages experiment results, key learnings and recommendations, crafting and delivering presentations for executive stakeholders.

  • Expert in translating data analytics into easy-to-understand summaries and presentations

  • Provides recommendations based on the results in business friendly language.

  • Leads retrospective sessions to continuously improve and summarize lessons learned.

  • Identifies and continually implements improvements to experiment methodologies, processes, and communications to drive efficiencies that maximize scale.

  • Recommends tactics and investments to remediate persistent areas of friction and complexity that hinder experimentation.

  • Delivers and supports design of training for cross-functional audiences, teaching experimentation methodologies and best practices.

  • Contributes one or more specialized areas of expertise to the broader experimentation service offering, demonstrating experience with Agile, UX design, product management, research, marketing, analytics, engineering, or legal/risk/compliance.

Job location

  • Partner teams are located primarily in Charlotte, NYC and Frisco, TX. Role will require regular on-site attendance to lead workshops and attend key working sessions; 25% travel will be required if remote.

Required skills

  • 2+ years experience designing and running disciplined experiments within enterprise organizations.

  • 5+ years working in a digital product organization, working closely with UX design, product management, research, marketing, analytics, engineering, and/or legal/risk/compliance teams.

  • 5+ years experience leveraging VoC, qual/quant research inputs and data/analytics to ensure “the customer” remains at the forefront of defining hypotheses to test.

  • 5+ years experience coaching or facilitating groups of people.

Additional skills & experience

  • Ability to deliver artifacts, templates, training, workshops, and interactive sessions to continue strengthening experimentation acumen.

  • Strong project management skills to quickly assemble workplans for experiment designs and manage delivery progress, dependencies and risks

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build cross-functional partnerships.

Base Pay Range: $150,000/yr. - $193,200/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
