Nuveen is seeking a Sr. Analyst to support our Loan and CLO Operations team. This person will work as a part of a dynamic team in a rapidly growing Leveraged Loan and CLO trading environment. The individual is expected to possess strong problem solving and analytical skills, as well as a thorough understanding of leveraged loan and CLO operations.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Complete various loan administration tasks, including trade processing, loan reconciliations, and trade settlement

  • Partner and interact with the Trustees, Loan Administrators, Legal, Tax, and Compliance with regards to trade confirmations, allocations, KYC documentation, settlements, metrics, and industry initiatives

  • Provide oversight in relevant systems throughout the day and work with internal/external customers & service providers to quickly resolve any trade/settlement related issues

  • Communicate effectively with traders at all levels and build strong working relationships with them

  • Support the settlement process of loan syndications, secondary loan trades, CLO’s, and restructures, including funding and documentation matters

  • Continuous improvement mindset to capitalize on straight through processing, speed and accuracy of systems and procedures; communicate in functional teams to complete daily tasks, share market and systems knowledge, and preserve and grow strong trading relationships with internal/external customers

  • Review trade confirmation, assignment and assumption agreements, netting agreements and funding memos to ensure accurate and efficient closing process for leverage loan trades

This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA’s family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.

This role is located at our TIAA office in ­­­­Charlotte, NC but will be currently remote.

The anticipated term of this engagement will be 12 months. This term could be extended based on company business needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ of related leveraged loan/CLO operations experience required

  • 2+ years’ experience with Order Management & Trade Processing Systems (i.e. Bloomberg AIM, ClearPar, Wall Street Office)

  • Proficient utilization of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office products

Preferred Skills:

  • 3+ years’ of related leveraged loan/CLO operations experience preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree
