TIAA's 2021 Summer Internship Program is an enriching opportunity for college students who want to supplement their academic preparation with a challenging work experience as they launch their professional careers. Successful completion of the internship can lead to a full time career opportunity at TIAA, upon graduation.
The Client Services department is a diverse area within TIAA. Interns will have an opportunity to join teams that provide the following support to our external individual and institutional clients:
Business Management – provide strategic planning, capacity modeling, businessanalytics, business enablement and project leadership
Continuous Improvement – provide six sigma waste reduction strategies, andtechnology enablement (robotics/technology improvements)
Institutional Plan Support – provide non-registered support to institutional plans toexpedite onboarding of new clients
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Summer Interns will work on an exciting mix of strategically-aligned challenging assignments and projects that help drive the achievement of the organization's strategy and mission. Managers and colleagues will work side by side with summer interns to ensure development and learning. Candidates can expect to gain an understanding of TIAA and the Financial Services industry and will be involved in creating resolutions for complex problems and/or transactions where business expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines or processes.
Currently in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree
Graduating between December 2021 and August 2023
Previous internship experience
Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 or better
Preferred majors include: Finance, BusinessManagement, Accounting, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Communications
Strong organizational skills and ability toprioritize tasks
Ability to manage data and analyze trends
Skills in crafting concise, consistent andquality business communications
Ability to plan and execute on internal projects
Proficient in process mapping, excelspreadsheet, VISIO and PowerPoint creation & presentations
