Events Management
The Events Management role develops and executes multiple media communications programs to promote product and organizational presence in marketplaces consistent with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Gathering, analyzing and reporting information on industry, customer and competitive activities as well as market structure and trends and financial performance.
Directing promotion programs combining advertising with purchase incentives to increase sales.
Coordinating market research, marketing strategy, sales, advertising, promotion, pricing, product development, and public relations activities.
Overseeing planning groups to select communication media, e.g., radio, television, newspapers, magazines, Internet, or outdoor signs, to disseminate advertising.

Additional Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading the planning and execution of the logistics and attendee experience for events and conferences supporting the Nuveen asset management business in the US
Be the primary interface with the client marketing and sales teams and is responsible for understanding the strategy put forth by those teams
Use that strategic knowledge, partner with the Event Designer, and use fresh, dynamic methods to plan and execute exceptional client events and internal events, and to plan and execute how we show up at industry conferences
Supervises a small team of professional level employees and sets goals and objectives for team members to ensure the achievement of department results
Leads team responsible for planning and execution of logistics and attendee experience for the Nuveen asset management business in the United States
Gains detailed understanding of go-to-market plan for the audience and builds event and conference plans based on that understanding
Personally manages some events and conferences and also delegates ownership of some events and conferences to team members
Coordinates with Event Designer to bring unique and engaging experiences to attendees
Oversees all aspects of event planning and execution, including onsite management
Seeks out solutions and answers when information is incomplete and directions unclear
Dynamically manages workload and priorities on a day-to-day, hour-to-hour basis to ensure all project requests are met and effectively prioritized, despite a heavy workload
Works with high degree of urgency on tasks and is highly responsive to partner requests at all levels
Prioritizes success metrics/KPIs and ensures all relevant data is captured and shared with measurement team
Required Qualifications:
Five plus years demonstrating a track record in event planning and conference management
Five plus years demonstrating a track record with curation of end-to-end event flow and experience
Five plus years of venue sourcing
Five plus years as a speaker prep
Five plus years in F&B, Room Block and Transportation booking and management
Five plus years with a creation of invitations and event communications
Five plus years in entrepreneurial mindset
Five plus years of excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Five plus years in budget creation and management
Five plus years with the ability to dynamically manage multiple projects at once, including frequent unexpected requests, with efficiency, urgency, and patience
Five plus years with the ability to collaborate with partners to foster a positive and supportive environment
Preferred Qualifications:
CVENT experience
Understanding of AV requirements
Expectation of extensive travel and extended hours while on site

Base Pay Range: $93,400/yr. - $155,600/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).Â
