TIAA Bank Commercial Real Estate Sales Leader in Virtual, United States

The Commercial Real Estate Sales Leader directs all Core sales activities for the Commercial Real Estate business, including direct management of the Core Commercial Real Estate sales team. This role is responsible for directing activities that enable the business line to achieve volume and profitability targets. This role assists with setting and executing on overall strategic direction for Commercial Real Estate business.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Sets and executes on strategic priorities for the business line to achieve volume and profitability targets.

  • Manages team of sales professionals in defined territories including goal setting, mentoring, and assisting with deal structuring and execution. Directs client engagement and outreach to key partners.

  • Researches competitive environment and keeps company current regarding competitors in industry, competitor strategies and offerings, competitive advantages and disadvantages. Makes recommendations, as needed, to adjust to market dynamics.

  • Partners with Credit leaders to continually maintain in-market credit parameters and drive efficient deal execution.

  • Works closely with all functional areas within the Commercial Lending division.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

Work Experience

  • 8+ Years Required; 10+ Years Preferred

Required Qualifications

  • 8 years of commercial lending experience (must include some experience in commercial real estate)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior sales experience, preferably in commercial real estate

  • Previous management experience

  • Ability to lead constructively and positively

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills

  • Prior credit experience

  • Ability to review financial statements and communicate credit decisions

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Client focus, with passion for delivering excellence

Travel Required: Up to 50%


Base Pay Range: $188,600/yr. - $314,400/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
