TIAA Monitoring & AI Operations Manager in United States

TIAA has an opportunity for a Monitoring & AI Operations Manager. This role will define and implement our Enterprise monitoring strategy for Observability and Event management. In addition, will build and integrate best-of-breed observability platforms to support the strategy.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of multi cloud platforms; possess a deep understanding of ITIL processes with a focus on event management and incident management. In addition, will have a minimum of 5 years of direct hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Moogsoft, Splunk, Dynatrace, ServiceNow, CMDB, Robotic Process automation tools, BigFix, Ansible.

This position can be located at one of our major hub offices (NYC, Iselin, NJ, Charlotte, NC, Dallas, TX, Frisco, TX, Denver, CO, or Broomfield, CO).

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Help define and implement our Enterprise Monitoring strategy for Observability and Event management. This includes the collection, delivery, analysis, and visualization of Key monitoring telemetry data around metrics, logs, and traces.

  • Build and integrate best-of-breed observability platforms in support of that strategy. Build orchestration and automation tooling around off-the-shelf solutions, as well as build solutions that meet the unique needs of TIAA.

  • Design and Build AIOPS solutions, especially Moog soft as part of Enterprise monitoring organization and aware of Event Management AIOPS internals such as architecture and interfaces.

  • Manage the monitoring and automation tool roadmap and interfaces.

  • Manage the monitoring and automation tool roadmap and propose and develop innovative solutions based on technology strategy.

  • Collaborate directly with End Users, Command Center, Production Support teams and all product stakeholders to understand business requirements, help drive alignment and build thoughtful solutions throughout your team.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in the field of Information Technology; proven capabilities in IT systems development and administration, technical troubleshooting and complex problem solving and technical leadership

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience leading or being a part of a monitoring and automation team; experience with delivering value by building and maintaining a continuous delivery pipeline; experience working in a matrix global organization.

  • Minimum of 5 years of direct experience with monitoring tools such as Moogsoft, Splunk, Dynatrace, ServiceNow, CMDB, Robotic Process automation tools, BigFix, Ansible.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of multi cloud platforms

  • Knowledge of AWS monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Xray

  • Experience working in a global organization and coordinating with remote resources.

  • Ability to interface with all levels of stakeholders both internal and externally.

  • Ability to coordinate the work and activities of others; ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize work.

Base Pay Range: $135,200/yr. - $225,300/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
