Lead Systems Analyst
The Lead Systems Analyst oversees the installation, configuration and maintenance of the organization's operating systems. This job approves information systems designs and ensures they are appropriate for users' needs and are consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. This job manages large projects and is recognized as the Systems expert on the team that solves complex issues that arise.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Approves of system scope through existing knowledge and fact-finding that informs the development or modification of complex information systems. groups, aiming to improve business results.
Oversees changes to existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.
Approves flow charts, models, and procedures and feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.
Approves technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
Evaluates all system constraints, implications and consequences of various proposed system changes.
Creates procedures to solve complex problems that considers items such as computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
Estimates the costs of system solutions and prepares project plans to provide input into decisions about prioritizing projects and allocating IT resources.
Coaches and delegates work to lower level professionals.

The TIAA Financial Solutions (TFS) team within TIAA is searching for a motivated, enthusiastic, proactive team player to support its OmniDC User Support team with a primary focus on performing analysis identifying participants who may need corrective actions to determine if Lost Earnings calculations are needed. The teamâs mission is to provide IT assistance, guidance, and analysis of TIAAâs RetirePlus product. This is a highly dynamic client focused delivery that requires a person who can adapt to change, work flexible hours to support multiple client activities and deliver excellence.
Analyze Omni transactions and historical impacts for use of Lost Earnings Calculations for Plan and Participant correctional activity
Understanding the linkage of transactional requests between multiple systems/applications, both automated and participant directed, through the recordkeeping platform
Interpret specifications, develop, and test OmniScript code as needed to create Omni transactions required to assist with analysis and potential correction activity
Execute Omni Batch edit and post processes; identify and resolve errors
Strong ability to analyze functional needs
Analyzes complex mapping and plan constructs within the RetirePlus product to identify impacted participants requiring Lost Earnings Calculations
Strong ability to work collaboratively with IT, Business operations and Product Owners
5 or more years working with SunGardâs Omni DC Recordkeeping System
5 or more years working in the Defined Contribution industry
5 or more years in developing with OmniScript within a mainframe environment
Experience working in a mainframe environment, including knowledge of JCL, VSAM, IBM utilities, etc
Experience with Omni DC transaction and batch processing
Experience with OmniAdminWeb
Proven ability to work effectively in a virtual team.
Ability and willingness to workÂ outside of regular businessÂ hours as necessary
Experience with OmniSCript, OS/JCL, VSAM, IBM utilities, Mainframe Sort, CA7, SQL
Experience with mainframe DB2 & CICS
Experience working with Financial Services industry with Retirement industry domain knowledge
Base Pay Range: $100,700/yr. - $167,800/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.Â In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).Â
