Labs and Experiments Portfolio Lead

The Labs and Experiments Portfolio Lead oversees a team of coaches to build and lead diverse, multidisciplinary teams through a fast-paced, immerse experimentation methodology, helping the organization run disciplined tests that serve evidence and high-impact learnings to owners of enterprise-wide strategic priorities. This job is a recognized master in coaching executives and their organizations to design, execute, and act on business experiments.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Advises executives and senior leaders to identify business arenas that would benefit from rapid experimentation, and develop those into labs that help the organization achieve its business objectives.

  • Coaches and mentors the organization's top talent, helping technical and business practitioners design, execute and iterate on their own experiments.

  • Creates well-run, successful, and agile teams via coaching and mentoring that use rapid experimentation to address the growing needs of the organization.

  • Identifies areas where experiments create friction in the organization, and partner with senior leaders to design solutions.

  • Prioritizes which investments need to be made to remediate challenges, and oversee projects to implement improvements.

  • Drives organizational change across the organization by evangelizing experimentation, its benefits, and return on investment.

  • Oversees experiment data analysis, translating evidence into key learnings and insights, and reviewing and delivering detailed reports to leadership in written and verbal formats.

  • Builds and matures the organization's experiment best practices, tools, methodologies, and best-in-class industry expertise across the team.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

  • 5+ Years Required; 7+ Years Preferred

  • Advanced proficiency in the following skills: executive communication, continuous improvement, critical thinking, design thinking, influence, problem solving, program management, story telling, and test & learn

  • Must be able to demonstrate a strong history of designing and facilitating in-person, cross-organizational workshops for senior leaders

Base Pay Range: $136,300/yr. - $227,100/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
