Nuveen Investments VP, Real Estate Product in United States
Nuveen is seeking a Vice President, Real Estate Product to focus on product development and management as well as to support the continued growth of Nuveenâs real estate initiatives and offerings in the U.S.Â Reporting to the Global Head of Real Estate Product, the VP will be instrumental in the implementation, execution, and ongoing management of various open-end and closed-end real estate private equity and debt funds.
The VP will lead the design, structuring, and launch processes for new products, and monitor established vehicles from a governance and business performance perspective. The VP will achieve results through collaboration and idea generation in conjunction with senior investment management, distribution, legal, marketing, operations, and finance teams.
Essential to the role is an ability to create and articulate strategic plans relating to existing and future products, taking into consideration multiple client channels, industry, market, regulatory, and economic trends. A key deliverable is the oversight and execution of product development initiatives, including fund launches, repositioning of existing products, and innovating new ideas in partnership with key internal and external business partners. The candidate must have excellent relationship management skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions, businesses, and management levels.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Develop and manage real estate investment products on the basis of market demand, competition, internal capabilities, profitability, and strategic direction of the firm.
Drive overall development, launch, structuring, and integration of new products through coordinating with internal cross-functional teams, including portfolio management, legal, tax, compliance, client services, finance, distribution, and marketing.
Evaluate and monitor the scalability and performance of real estate investment products, providing recommendations for increased efficiencies.
Manage internal governance and approval processes, and ensure products are compliant with regulatory requirements.
Create and maintain ongoing product plans across real estate strategies that evaluate and refine the investment vehicles, strategy, and distribution targets, based on the continual assessment of financial, resourcing, market, and operational capabilities.
Assist in the development of the U.S. real estate product pipeline, including both the equity and debt platforms.
Serve as subject matter expert, providing guidance and detailed product information in relation to due diligence deliverables, client servicing, offering memoranda, and other purposes.
Develop and maintain ongoing relationships in the real estate business while building and targeting new relationships with future partners and clients.
Research and identify investment, legal, and regulatory trends globally, and incorporate competitive environment, product flows, and client feedback into product strategies and capital raising plans

Commercial real estate experience
Knowledge and understanding of NCREIF-ODCE
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a relevant field of study (Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or Economics preferred)
6+ years of direct experience working in a real estate-related environment, such as business development, fund management, law, investment banking, finance/accounting, or tax
MBA, MS Real Estate, CPA, CFA, and/or CAIA a plus
FINRA Series 7 and 63
Experience with private and regulated structures (REIT, SCSp, FCP RAIF)
Experience launching real estate products, preferably private strategies, structuring, and knowledge of key terms based on prior investment, portfolio management, banking, structuring, legal and/or marketing experience
Base Pay Range: $131,300/yr. - $218,800/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.Â In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).Â
